Fair question.

 

Two good arguments against providing you with a pricing tool that you can use to look up your drug and see what you’ll pay:

 

• They are misleading.
  They add to the cost.

Just like the cost of gas, drug prices go up and down all the time, and just like gas stations, drug stores have their own pricing on meds.  If you have a co-pay, you probably didn’t notice it. But if you pay the full cash price at the pharmacy (like many of those who are currently uninsured), then you have experienced this first hand.  Bottom line: they change so much they are hard to track accurately.

 
Many pricing tools even come with a disclaimer that they are not guaranteed to be accurate (So, what’s the point?). The best way to get an accurate price quote, is by calling or visiting your local drug store with your BetterRxCard in hand. Voila! A guaranteed and accurate pricing tool!
